What better way to enjoy the amazing Schools Spectacular in 2024 than to start with SpecFest!

Now in its sixth year, SpecFest is the ultimate outdoor entertainment hub with great food, activations and chill-out zones for the whole family to enjoy.

SpecFest is free for the whole family to enjoy and offers the perfect preshow atmosphere to enrich your spectacular experience!

SpecFest celebrates all things spectacular and will again this year feature the final rounds of the rural and remote band competition, Surround Sound, on the main stage.

SpecFest performance opportunities

There are a number of opportunities for school groups and individual performers to perform as part of SpecFest. 

Please note that other than schools that wish to perform as part of the SpecFest Flash Mob (see below), applications to perform at SpecFest close at the end of Term 1 each year.

SpecFest 2024 Flash Mob

The SpecFest Team invites dance groups from public schools all over NSW to participate in the SpecFest 2024 FlashMob. This exciting initiative, now in its second year, will take place as part of the entertainment at SpecFest, the outdoor festival that accompanies the 2024 Schools Spectacular, on Friday 29 November 2024 (Term 4 Week 7).

Students rehearse the choreography with our choreographer, perform as part of the Flash Mob, feature in a video released to celebrate SpecFest, and sit in performer seating to watch the evening performance of the 2024 Schools Spectacular.
