Pulse Alive
Pulse Alive is a large-scale event, providing high-quality opportunities in the performing arts for students and teachers from NSW public schools in Greater Sydney and beyond. Pulse Alive provides performance opportunities for students of all abilities from Kindergarten to Year 12.
2023 dates
Pulse Alive 2023 will be held at Ken Rosewall Arena, Sydney Olympic Park, on Thursday 9 and Friday 10 March 2023 (Term 1 Week 6).
There will be opportunities for both primary and secondary students within the event, and participation will be open to students of all abilities from any public school across NSW.

Key closing dates:
- All individual student applications close Monday 19 September (Term 3 Week 10)
- All school group applications close Tuesday 18 October (Term 4 Week 2)
Participation
Opportunities exist within Pulse Alive 2023 for:
- School groups: Massed dance, massed choir, First Nations Dance Ensemble, signing choir
There is no audition required for school group categories and no upper limit on the number of students each school can nominate.
Groups comprising students of all backgrounds and abilities are encouraged to nominate.
Schools will be required to provide a teacher for duty of care for their students. - Individual students: Principal vocalist, principal dancer, principal choir, showband, student compere, student crew, student creative team.
Initial auditions for all individual student categories is, in the initial nomination, via video audition, which must be submitted with the nomination form.
Students participating in these categories will be supervised by members of the Pulse Alive team. Schools will not be expected to provide a teacher for duty of care of these students. - Teachers: Teacher production team
Open to all teachers with an interest in production
Teacher relief will be provided to schools for teachers working on the teacher production team.

The operation of this program is contingent on advice provided by the NSW Department of Education in consultation with NSW Health. All activities will adhere to the DoE COVID-19 guidelines and restrictions.
