Pulse Alive Tours
Each year, the Pulse team take the experience of the Pulse Alive event to regional areas via the Pulse Alive tours. Individual students selected as principal vocalists, members of the showband and members of the Pulse Alive Dance Company for Pulse Alive 2025 will be given the opportunity to express their interest in attending one of four tours:
- Pulse Sunraysia 2025 – Sunday 30 March to Friday 4 April 2025
- Pulse Moree 2025 – Sunday 4 to Friday 9 May 2025
- Pulse Broken Hill 2025 – Sunday 18 to Friday 23 May 2025
- Pulse TBC 2025 (location to be announced) – Sunday 27 July to Friday 1 August 2025
The cost per tour for each participating student is $1000. Further specific information around the tours, and the opportunity to express interest in attending, will be provided to students who are successful in their auditions for principal vocalist, showband or Pulse Alive Dance Company for Pulse Alive 2025.
There are also opportunities for staff to express their interest in attending one or more of the tours as a member of the touring team.
Please note, these tours are an optional addition to students' role in Pulse Alive 2025. Whether or not students choose to submit an expression of interest to attend the tour (or whether they are selected to attend) will have no impact on their role in the Pulse Alive event.
Inclusion of students with disability
The Pulse Alive team encourage students of all abilities to be included in any of our massed categories. The Pulse Alive choreographers and conductors will work with teachers throughout the process to make specific modifications to movement and musical material to cater for all students. We work with teachers and students within the rehearsal process to ensure all massed items at Pulse Alive are inclusive. If you have any specific questions about this, please reach out to the team at pulse@det.nsw.edu.au.
Signing choir
Based on feedback from teachers and students participating in the signing choir for Pulse Alive 2024, we have decided not to move forward with the signing choir category for Pulse Alive 2025. Other opportunities that may interest schools in this area include the Combined Schools Signing Choir and the Schools Spectacular.
