Held annually, the Nagoya Sister City Art Exchange is an exciting exhibition opportunity open to NSW public schools students from Kindergarten to Year 12. It provides a wonderful opportunity for students to participate in international friendship and cultural exchange activities.
The exhibition features artworks from NSW public schools and Japanese schools and is an excellent showcase for visual arts programs in public schools. Enjoy these works from participating NSW and Japanese students.
This is my Aboriginal sunset. It makes me feel happy because it's my culture, that's why I wrote the word Dharug. I also did a shark because that's a special animal for my Biripi people too.
This artwork is reflective of the Cubist modernist aesthetic where collage and still life subject matter was very much in fashion in the early 1900s - Braque and Picasso were a significant influence on the work.
