Do I need a ticket to Schools Spectacular to enter the SpecFest zone?
No, SpecFest is open to the general public to enjoy regardless of whether they are attending the Schools Spectacular.

What hours will SpecFest be open?
SpecFest will be open to the general public on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 November 2025. Activation times for each day are

Does my bag need to be checked before I enter the SpecFest zone?
Yes, everyone who enters the SpecFest zone must have their bag checked by Qudos Bank Arena security personnel at the entry points. Please note that if you are intending to go to the Schools Spectacular arena show after SpecFest, you will not be able to take any bags larger than A5 size into the venue and there is no coat check.

What activations will be offered in SpecFest?
A full list of activations will be published in late October. Planning is underway for entertainment on a number of stages, other performances around the event, food trucks, covered eating areas, water and sanitising stations, and event sponsor activations.

Where is the closest parking to SpecFest?
The P1 parking station is the closest parking to the SpecFest event. Please note that Olympic Boulevard outside Qudos Bank Arena is closed to traffic from Wednesday 26 November to Sunday 30 November 2024.

Can schools apply to perform at SpecFest?
There are a number of opportunities for school groups to perform at SpecFest

Will performing schools receive tickets to attend the Schools Spectacular?
Yes, each performer at SpecFest will receive a ticket to attend the Schools Spectacular on the day they perform. Each performing school will receive 2 tickets for supervising teachers. Please note, all tickets for SpecFest performers will be in performer seating, located on the side of the top level of Qudos Bank Arena.

Will performing schools have the opportunity to rehearse?
Yes, rehearsals are held for all performing groups will be held on Thursday 27 November 2025. Schools applying to perform should ensure they are available for this rehearsal day.

Is there a dressing room / storage area for SpecFest performers?
Yes, a large marquee positioned near the main stage in the SpecFest zone is a dedicated dressing room for SpecFest performers. An area behind the main stage is a dedicated equipment storage area for SpecFest performers.
