McCallums Hill Public School – Into the Coast
McCallums Hill Public School is located in Roselands, south-west Sydney, on traditional Bidjigal land.
Students at McCallums Hill Public School created a body of work depicting sea life found off the coast of Australia. These artworks show the students participating in different activities related to the ocean and the coast of Australia, such as swimming.
These artworks were also included in the ‘Connections Showcase Submission Exhibition’ at McCallums Hill Public School, where students, teachers and parents were invited to view and celebrate the 4 bodies of work submitted by the school in this year’s digital showcase.
What did the students and teachers have to say?
- ‘The class loved engaging with different mediums to create the background images for their photos. Students were willing to try different poses and wear different props to add to the photos.’ – Ms Martins (teacher)
- ‘I like sharks.’ – Tae Won (student)
