2023 witnessed a groundbreaking collaboration as Film By the City joined forces with Film By Kidz at the prestigious Ritz, amplifying its impact and support for students from Kindergarten to Year 11. This amalgamation promises an even more immersive and enriching experience for young filmmakers in 2025.

On Monday 27 October 2025, Event Cinemas George Street came alive with red-carpet glamour as Film By the City celebrated another incredible year of student storytelling.
The evening was truly spectacular, with young filmmakers treated like stars as they arrived in style, cameras flashing and smiles beaming. Dressed to impress, students, teachers, and families filled the venue with excitement and anticipation, ready to see their stories take centre stage on the big screen.
