The 2025 Film By the Eucalypts festival was something really special. Held over two nights, Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 November at Blue Mountains Theatre. The night had a fantastic buzz from start to finish. You could feel how much heart the students poured into their films—every story, every moment on screen showed their growing confidence and creativity.

What really stood out was the pride on their faces as they watched their work come to life in front of an audience. Moments like that remind us why these festivals matter so much. They give young people the chance to be heard, to be celebrated, and to realise just how capable they are.

It was a truly uplifting event, and it’s exciting to think about how this experience will inspire them as they keep creating. If this year is anything to go by, we’re in for something amazing again next year.
