Online school workshops
In 2024, The Arts Unit will provide online workshops to assist schools that do not currently have access to local Film By workshops.
Students make, create, and learn new filmmaking skills. Workshops cover a variety of different topic areas, including the use of the camera, sound, and story. Please note that our whole-day workshops cover the topics in greater depth.
Delivered by specialist film teachers, these workshops are tailored to meet the needs of students in filmmaking and extend participants' skills beyond the classroom.
Basic workshops
Cost: Free
These workshops provide a taster of various elements of filmmaking. Please be mindful that this workshop is a brief overview.

Full day workshops
Cost: $15/student
These workshops provide greater depth and knowledge of various elements of filmmaking with practical activities included for students.
Students will be required to have access to iPads and/or computers for this workshop. If this is an issue please reach out to our Film By Officer, who can help make arrangements.
