NSW Premier's Reading Challenge privacy information
When a student enters the Challenge, they become eligible for a certificate. Certificates have the student's name and school printed on them. Due to child protection issues, we are no longer publishing an Honour Roll on the Premier's Reading Challenge website.
For government students
In order to participate in the Premier's Reading Challenge, students must have approval to access the internet and have an online account. Students who do not have permission for online access should take part in the Challenge unofficially.
For non-government students
In order to participate in the Premier's Reading Challenge, schools need to create a DoE account for students. This account requires the student's first name, last name, grade, gender and date of birth. This information is stored securely in accordance with the relevant regulations. If privacy issues prevent the entry of this data, students should take part in the Challenge unofficially.
For homeschool students
Parents or carers need to register their homeschool with the PRC, and create a DoE account for students. This account requires the student's first name, last name, grade and gender. Birthdate is optional but suggested in order to help identify students and match up any other PRC records from previous schools. This information is stored securely in accordance with the relevant regulations.
