The visual arts support students at Baulkham Hills High School immersed themselves in a diverse range of artmaking practices, allowing them to refine their artistic skills and expand their creative abilities.

Through hands-on experiences and exploration of different mediums, students engaged with both traditional and contemporary art forms.

Their teachers played a crucial role in facilitating dynamic and practical projects, ensuring that students not only developed their artistic talents but also gained valuable skills that they could apply in everyday life.

Multicoloured painting of a humpback whale. The back of the whale is blue, with red squiggles. The belly is striped green and orange. The background is a mix of warm colours with abstract drawings of sea life.

What did the teachers have to say?

  • ‘As their art teacher, I am continually inspired by the creativity and resilience of our support unit students, who bring unique perspectives and boundless enthusiasm to every project they undertake.’ – Mrs Rebecca Clancy (art teacher)
  • ‘I am incredibly proud of how these students have gained self-confidence in visual arts, learning a variety of artmaking techniques and embracing new challenges.’ – Mrs Gulsen Lockley (art teacher)
