Students at McCallums Hill Public School in 3–4SB created wonderful artworks based on the theme 'This is Me'.

They explored their interests and discovered what makes each of them unique. Students used various art mediums, including painting, drawing, collage and text, to express their ideas and creativity in their silhouette artworks.

These artworks were also included in the ‘This Is Us! – Connections Showcase Exhibition’ at McCallums Hill Public School, where students, teachers and parents were invited to view and celebrate the 4 bodies of work submitted by the school in this year’s digital showcase.

This exhibition was held as part of Public Education Week 2024.

What did the teachers and students have to say?

  • ‘It was a great opportunity for the students to use creativity to express what makes each of them unique.’ – Mr Spiteri (teacher)
  • ‘I had a fun time drawing my pictures.’ – Massimo (student, 9 years old)
